Focus Template

The best way to keep focused on an improvement outcome is to have a weekly focus meeting.

This meeting should:

  • Be 30 minutes or less
  • Focus only on achievements from the week past and discussion and decisions required to proceed through the next week
  • Tasks to be worked on for the upcoming week

The focus template provides a structure for the meeting, focus on tasks at hand and a record of decisions made.

Do not fall into the trap of talking about things that do not need to be worked on yet or risks that may not come to pass. This will distract and overwhelm the team with the enormity of the task and detract energy from getting the job done.
